How a call is billed

On demand vs. pre-scheduled
Especially for videoAudio (OPI) is available on demand, 24/7, for every listed language. Video (VRI) is split into two kinds:
- Instant connect — connect right away from the dashboard, like audio. Shown with the Instant Connect badge.
- By request (pre-scheduled) — most video languages. You request the session in the Pre-Scheduled VRI panel and we confirm availability and schedule a qualified interpreter.
ASL connects on demand during standard hours (Mon–Fri 8am–8pm EST), with after-hours sessions available on request.
