These Referral Program Terms (the “Program Terms”) govern participation in the Day Interpreting referral program (the “Program”). The Program is offered by Day Translations, Inc., doing business as Day Interpreting. The Program is part of, and is subject to, our general Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. By sharing a referral code or signing up through one, you agree to these Program Terms.
1. How the Program works
- Every active Day Interpreting customer account receives a unique 6-character referral code and shareable link (for example,
app.dayinterpreting.com/r/A7KX2M). The person who holds the code is the Referrer. - A new customer who creates a Day Interpreting account using that code — either by visiting the Referrer's shareable link or by entering the code in a
?ref=query parameter at signup — is the Referee. - Attribution is recorded on the Referee's account at the moment of signup. We do not use cookies or long-lived browser storage for attribution.
- Once the Referee has paid Day Interpreting $500 or more in cumulative paid top-ups within 60 days of account creation, the referral qualifies. Call charges, credits, bonuses, and legacy balance restorations do not count toward the $500 threshold — only paid inflows (credit top-ups and auto-recharges) do.
- Thirty (30) days after qualification — the “holdback window” — Day Interpreting credits $50 USD to the Referrer's account balance and $50 USD to the Referee's account balance.
- A Referrer may refer any number of accounts and receive the $50 credit for each one that qualifies. A given Referee can only be associated with one referral and can only receive the referee credit once.
2. Eligibility
- Both the Referrer and the Referee must have Day Interpreting customer accounts in good standing at the time of credit payout.
- The Program is for customer accounts only. Day Interpreting interpreter accounts, employee accounts, and internal platform accounts are not eligible to participate as Referrer or Referee.
- Self-referral is not permitted. We detect and block referrals that share a payment-method fingerprint, email domain, or other signals suggesting the Referrer and Referee are the same party.
- Credits may only be used toward Day Interpreting interpretation services on the receiving account. They are not transferable, not redeemable for cash, and not refundable.
3. Timing and expiry
- Only paid top-ups made within 60 days of the Referee's signup date count toward the $500 qualification threshold. If the threshold is not reached inside that window, the referral expires and no credit is earned.
- Credits are issued 31 days after qualification. This holdback window exists so Day Interpreting can confirm the qualifying payments have cleared and are not subject to refund, chargeback, or dispute.
4. Forfeiture, revocation, and chargebacks
- If the qualifying $500 of paid top-ups is refunded, charged back, or otherwise reversed inside the 30-day holdback window, the referral is revoked and no credit is paid to either side.
- If a chargeback or refund of the qualifying top-ups is received after credits are paid, Day Interpreting may reverse the $50 credits from both accounts. If the balance is insufficient, the account will carry the deficit until the next paid top-up.
- Day Interpreting may revoke a referral and withhold or reverse credits in cases of fraud, abuse, violation of our Terms of Use, or any attempt to manipulate the Program (for example, creating multiple accounts, misrepresenting identity, or using automated tools).
- Day Interpreting may disable a referral code at any time for fraud or abuse, or at the Referrer's request.
5. Healthcare and federal reimbursement carveout
Important: This Program is not available to customers whose use of Day Interpreting services is billed to Medicare, Medicaid, TRICARE, CHAMPVA, or any other federal, state, or tribal healthcare program, or to any patient or beneficiary of such a program for the specific sessions covered by that program. The federal Anti-Kickback Statute (42 U.S.C. §1320a-7b(b)) and similar state laws restrict the exchange of anything of value in connection with items or services reimbursable by a federal healthcare program.
If you bill any portion of your Day Interpreting usage to a federal, state, or tribal healthcare program, you must not participate in the Program. If you are uncertain whether your use case is covered, please contact us at interpreting@daytranslations.com before participating.
6. Disclosure (FTC Endorsement Guides)
Day Interpreting's Program rewards you when a person you refer becomes a paying customer. If you share your referral code or link, you should disclose to the people you share it with that you may receive a benefit when they sign up and use Day Interpreting. This disclosure is required by the U.S. Federal Trade Commission's Endorsement Guides whenever a material connection — including account credit — exists between an endorser and the business being endorsed.
A simple disclosure such as “I get a credit if you sign up with my link” is sufficient. You remain responsible for your own compliance with the Endorsement Guides and with any applicable marketing, advertising, or professional-conduct rules.
7. Taxes
Credits issued under the Program are discounts on future Day Interpreting services, not cash payments. Tax treatment depends on your jurisdiction and business circumstances. We do not provide tax advice; consult your own advisor if you have questions about how to report credits received through the Program.
8. Changes to the Program
Day Interpreting may change these Program Terms at any time — including the qualifying threshold, holdback window, credit amount, eligibility rules, and whether the Program continues to operate at all. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date, and where feasible we will notify active participants by email or an in-portal notice. Changes apply to referrals that have not yet qualified; referrals that have already qualified before the change will be settled under the terms in effect at the time of qualification.
9. Contact
Questions, disputes, or requests related to the Program should be sent to interpreting@daytranslations.com.
